David Wescott, Transblue CEO, Fills SIMA’s Board Vice Chair
Winter in the city can be harsh and unpredictable. Life in the city during the winter months can be difficult due to the cold temperatures, snowfall and ice accumulation. Thankfully, there are organizations that help city dwellers navigate winter’s challenges. One of these organizations is the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA), which promotes education and research concerning winter weather and transportation. SIMA has appointed David Wescott as its vice chair. Wescott is an expert in proper management in relation to ice and snow conditions.
SIMA’s goal is to promote greater education and research on snow and ice management- which David Wescott will help promote in his new position as vice chair- designate for SIMA’s board of directors. The association aims to promote greater coordination between research and education through its annual conference. This conference brings together researchers, educators, students, government officials, military personnel and others with relevant backgrounds to discuss current issues in snow and ice management research. It allows for greater dialogue between experts from different fields so that we can better understand our complex climate systems.
David Wescott is an eminent expert who understands how vital proper snow and ice management is to our daily lives. His appointment as SIMA’s vice chair- designate demonstrates how much value we place on proper snow and ice management in relation to transportation and related fields.
